Getting an Internet connection is becoming hard in Bangalore. One easiest way to get it is using your mobile phone as a modem.Why I call this “easiest” is internet connection gets activated instantly. You need to have a mobile phone that has data connectivity to PC or Laptop & data cable to connect that. Airtel offers four tariff plans to choose from:
- 399 plan: Rs.399/Month, 100MB Transfer,10 paisa for extra 10kbs.
- 599 plan: Rs.599/Month, 1 GB Transfer, 10 paisa for extra 10kbs.
- 799 plan: Rs.799/Month, 1.5 GB Transfer, 10 paisa for extra 10kbs.
- 140 plan: Rs.140/week, Unlimited usage.
My pick among these plans is 140 plan, since it has unlimited usage & cheap compare to other plans. It will become Rs.560 if you use it for a month. All plans will come with speed up to 40kbps.Just call customer care at 121 to avail this service.

I am not sure, but service provider can always track it & can sue him. So it’s better to not to go in that way. About the speed, it should be same as you are getting, unless phone you are using is slow.

gives Max speed of 34-40kbps this technology is CDMA or GPRS its is best for your voice usage because it takes fixed bandwidth of 34kbps whereas your data requirement for bandwidth varies with different applications….. However you dont have any option when you r in roaming or out of your home or office also there your billing is calculated on per-minute basis rather than per-MB as in broadband………..

Check whether your phone has pop port.

If that port is present, You can connect to internet via your phone as modem.

Guys, the airtel mobile office download speeds depends upon the handset u use. If the handsent only supports GPRS then the speed will be slow whereas if the handset supports EDGE Class 10 (which has 247 kbps speed) then u will get download speed even above 21 kbps. Also use Download Manager such as Download Accelerator to increase your download speed and there are lot of registry tweaks which can increase your download speed by increasing the utilization of bandwith. The speed of airtel mobile office also depends upon the signal strength and the amount of data transfer i.e. (incoming and outgoing calls) happenining within the route.

I am using sony ericsson g502 it is with 3g and costs 8000 bucks. But if you dont want 3g go with nokia 3110c it is the best in this range

The unlimited internet plan using your mobile as a modem has been withdrawn on Airtel and they have different tariff plans now. Which is not a viable option if you ask me they are very expensive and not that worth.

is der any difference in speed for 99 per month mobile office and 399 per month mobile office in gujarat state. I m using it through my samsung sgh-j210 mobile.
I am travelling to India from the US and need to connect to work via the internet. Since I will be travelling in India it is very likely that I might be in some place which does not have high speed internet access. If a 3g cellular modem were available in India, i might be able to use a cell phone wirelesss router to connect no matter where I am. I just need to be sure that I can obtain a 3g/4g usb modem for the laptop. Any advice would be most welcome.

first of all you hv to get the settings just,and then install software for your mobile you use,and then create a dail up network ,just after that you can dial your connection and you wll acess internet.

Select Connection Type==>
Connection-oriented
IP Address==>202.056.231.117
Security==> off
save all the settings and click BACK button and choose “Activate Profile”
Come back to SERVICES==>WAP==>Homepage
and now you ready to use Mobile Office

Yes , internet can be accessed on laptop via bluetooth . For the same you need bluetooth enabled mobile n laptop aswell.
What you need is to get mobile office activated on mobile and set it as default with bluetooth turned on .
go to laptops discover bluetooth devices options and find bluetooth devices. once your find your mobile …click on discover services on mobile, this will create few shortcuts in that folder. if your laptop is latest one it will create shortcut with name dial…(your mobile name). Now dial it with setting dialing no. as *99***1#. You are through with it.
