I am not sure, but service provider can always track it & can sue him. So it’s better to not to go in that way. About the speed, it should be same as you are getting, unless phone you are using is slow.

If that port is present, You can connect to internet via your phone as modem.

Guys, the airtel mobile office download speeds depends upon the handset u use. If the handsent only supports GPRS then the speed will be slow whereas if the handset supports EDGE Class 10 (which has 247 kbps speed) then u will get download speed even above 21 kbps. Also use Download Manager such as Download Accelerator to increase your download speed and there are lot of registry tweaks which can increase your download speed by increasing the utilization of bandwith. The speed of airtel mobile office also depends upon the signal strength and the amount of data transfer i.e. (incoming and outgoing calls) happenining within the route.

well just first receive the settings for ur mobile and if u r not getting then ask to airtel customer care and after that select ur settings .and then u install ur mobile software to ur laptop after installing only connect ur datacable to the pc then in ur software there wll be a dial up network creaTE a dialup network and then dial ur network then u can acess net

I am using Airtel connection from last two and half years. But what I have faced during last week that I have never faced earlier. I have lodged my complain for phone and broadband not working on 07th of October 2010 with complaint number 38516912 and when I was asked for preferred time for 08th October 2010, I have given 6pm time.

But no service engineer turned up on 08th October 2010. When I talked to your service engineer he told me that he will on Saturday that is 09th of October 2010 at 9:30 am. I have called him again at 10:00 am on 09th October 2010, he told me that he is coming. Then I waited, waited and waited for him to come. In between I have called him up several times but he was not picking up the phone too.

Finally, I called up customer care number again on 09th October 2010 at around 5 pm. Then I came to know that for the complaint of 07th October, it is showing that the complaint is rectified.

How it is possible if your service engineer never turned up and my house was locked till 6 pm?

Then the customer care is giving me the new complain number which is totally disgusting. Who has comfirmed that the complain number 38516912 is rectified or not? Did he called from my landline number to inform the customer care which was earlier the case to be?

Then the service engineer came on Sunday 10th October 2010 after several calls. He corrected the phone line. Then again I have to call for broadband problem. At 5pm engineer visited my house and he told me that modem has the problem and I have to call again to Beetel for the replacement of modem.

I didn’t understand why I should call Beetel for replacement of the modem. Since I have not taken the modem from Beetel and in any case I am not communicating/related to Beetle, why should I talk to Beetel. You have taken the modem from Beetel you should talk to them and replace my modem. I am paying to Airtel, not to Beetel.

dude i dont know exact solution . but just follow this may be help ful. just try again for connection and give ur mobile no whenever it is requested for userid and password. just try it once

I am in a very rural village in Paschim Banga (formerly known as West Bengal) but have BSNL’s CDMA phone at home and AirTel’s mobile phone.  Can I use Internet with my mobile phone?  Is that rate applicable to whole of India or only in your district/town?  Further, apart from paying that plan, will AirTel also charge for the minutes the mobile phone was used as modem?  I mean if I used Internet for 1 hour, do I have to pay for 60 minutes of call charges plus any plan money?
