Chinese goods are cheap but awfull in quality. Even if it’s cost would be 1K I won’t buy it.

My Friend bought it 1 month back from Brigade road. last week, he dropped the phone and the display was not working.

So, he took it to the shop where he bought and shell out Rs 1500 to change the complete display module.

These Chinese phones are cheaper to buy… but maintanace is very costly…. Battery drains with in a day … Also, if you watch TV, it drains within 30 mins ..

The point to note down here is there are also brands in Chinese products which are very very good.

Only people with failures come forward to comment fast, and keep searching on the net for solution.

I have the chinese ZTC N38 mobile with built in TV Tuner and dual sim and using it for the past 6 months without any problem. I too dropped it twice and the display cable (weakest point in this set) got disconnected. with little patience I opened it and reconnected it and now working fine. I bought it for Rs 5300 at coimbatore. For the features it encompass (too many features i have discovered) the price is really cheap and now it is further dropped to Rs.4000 +.

I have a CECT Q909 chinese handset. It boasts of playing mp3, mp4, .avi video, has 2 cameras and 4 speakers, dual sim , touch screen,etc. I bought it for 3k . But the user manual is in chinese . But I want an english manual.plzzz help.

i have a problem. the phone plays mp3 very well. but doesn’t play .avi or mp4 videos which I transfer into the phone through USB . nor does it open any .JPG files . it opens only those files that are recorded by the phone only.

Here i seen lot of comments on new chinese mobiles. See man..Indian are still not that much of capable like western countries to spend full of their salaries on expensive phones.
moreover wat to say about the indian mentality… we believes in show offs. Why chinese phones are not good? they are giving us all the best features of phone og 20000 range in 4000 than why not chinese phones. love the technology not the brand. We believes in brand names.. But who loves the technology..loves chinese.
We can say chinese mobiles has no warrenty..but man wat do you think..its easy to get warrent of the damaged nokia or sony ericcson phones? No..! For example Sony launched recently a new phone with music changing option with shaking and its cost is about 17000 rs. Chinese A-960 phone with wall paper shaking and music shaking is available in 4500 rs. i am also using this phone from last 8 months and i didnt get any problem in my set and infact lot of peoples likes that and purchased the same. So man come of that prestige issue..money is yours…. save it and love the technology. Also for your kind information.. nokia and sony ericcson mobiles fabrication parts are also made in china.

Yes, GPRS is working fine. No Wi-Fi and low Image quality. You can watch other channels too. Just bring your phone antenna close to the cable. It just receives the channels.You can’t install Java programs in this mobile.Don’t have any idea about latest price of these mobiles.

BTW the ‘headset profile’ is a pre-configured profile on Nokia mobiles with some specail setting in regards to your headset and all that. You may check the difference by selecting headset mode and checking its settings. You’ll find many changes

Recently I purchase ‘Iphane’ or c8000+ an imitation of Iphone for rs.5,100/- at National Market. I liked the slim and professional look of the mobile. But reading this forum I feel that I have paid too much for it. It has only two games and not much of software available. It has two speakers, 1.3Mp camera both back and front, tv ( I received some cable signals too, I was able to view cartoon channels with good clarity, DD was not upto the mark). I liked the feel of it. I haven’t tried gprs or net yet. I got problem with the memory card (256MB) which is not yet rectified. For this version I got a Crystal cover with stand. What do you think guys, did I pay more or is it worth it? Do let me know if any supporting software or any method of installing games is possible on this mobile!

I dont know about mumbai. But in coimbatore chinese cell phone with the facilities you mention costs around 5000 rs. But when u pay one fifth of the amount compared to Nokia why bother about repair. Just use it and if it fails through and buy new one. I am using ZTC model for the past one and half hours. Only problem with it is everyday I have to charge that too when using video play back it drains the battery very quickly. But they provide a spare battery which I always keep it charged. Once I have dropped the cell and video lost. But I opened it and found that just the cable from display to motherboard was loose which I reconnected and now working fine. Except for battery and charger no spares available to my knowledge.

Here i seen lot of comments on new chinese mobiles. See man..Indian are still not that much of capable like western countries to spend full of their salaries on expensive phones.
moreover wat to say about the indian mentality? we believes in show offs. Why chinese phones are not good? they are giving us all the best features of phone og 20000 range in 4000 than why not chinese phones. love the technology not the brand. We believes in brand names.. But who loves the technology..loves chinese.
We can say chinese mobiles has no warrenty..but man wat do you think..its easy to get warrent of the damaged nokia or sony ericcson phones? No..! For example Sony launched recently a new phone with music changing option with shaking and its cost is about 17000 rs. Chinese A-960 phone with wall paper shaking and music shaking is available in 4500 rs. i am also using this phone from last 8 months and i didnt get any problem in my set and infact lot of peoples likes that and purchased the same. So man come of that prestige issue..money is yours?. save it and love the technology. Also for your kind information.. nokia and sony ericcson mobiles fabrication parts are also made in china.

@ravig – I spent nearly 800 rupees more on Iphane that I had purchased to replace the touchscreen and the memory card slot which couldn’t be read. I had to spend hell of a time getting it done. Don’t trust the mobile repair persons at SP road and National market who ask you to come after 1 hour. Most of the components of my cell phone was replaced and only after threatening them that I would drag them to the Consumer court did they make amendments. Even after that they had made some technical problem. The phone was good but the repair persons weren’t trustworthy, they are all cut-throats who exchange the spare parts of older mobiles with newer ones. They did not even spare the screws of the mobile. I rather felt that I should have just tolerated the problem and gone along with the phone. Make sure after getting it repaired that each and every aspect of the mobile works properly from tv to dual sim and memomry card recognition. Try to collect a bill from them when you have submitted the mobile for repair. I think wespro products through internet would be cheaper with valid IMEI and 6 months warranty with costs equivalent to Chinese mobile phones even though 1k or 2k in excess but atleast u get a peace of mind with all the comforts of a chinese mobile.

I purchased one Chinese Mobile from E-Bay.com. Its a Dual Sim phone and the memory could be extented to 16 GB. The TV is working very fine with excellent quality. It possess a very good sound quality (far better than branded ones) and is having FM Radio. Its working is very fast comparing to Nokia models. The camera which is 2MP gives picture with good quality. The Video Player quality is good but cant expect the performance of Smart Movie.

To the negative side, i am unable to install any Softwares or games. I should be very careful not to drop down the phone even once. GPRS is just working but unable to download anything.

But for Rs 4800, its working perfectly. Its having a valid IMIE also. I got a warranty of 3 months also.
Last year i bought one SAMSUNG DUO phone costing Rs 12,000 where i wasnt able to play any videos. It was not supporting any video formats and the Camera was a worst one i have ever seen.
