Can you guess prize of this phone? 12k? 15k?

Nope! it’s just 4.7k & available in black market. At Bangalore you can find them at National Market & Burma Bazaar.It has got lot of features in it & doesn’t makes hole in your pocket! But I have few of cons about this phone. Here are they:

Though it looks good, build is not so good. Keypads are bit OK, touch screen is not so sensitive.
Camera clarity is below average, I have not seen good images taken from this phone.
Sound quality is also below average. You will definitely get headache if you listen to it more than half an hour through inbuilt speaker.
Not able to install any application since it uses it’s own OS & not any standard OS.
Problem in configuring GPRS settings, many are commenting on TB asking help.
No idea on which company manufacturing these phones, no warranty.
Since these phones are not officially released in India, it might be illegal to use these phones.

The only big PLUS I have seen in this phone is TV. It is so clear & you can watch it in widescreen. You can watch live cricket telecast while traveling if it is broadcasted by Door Darshan. There are lot of other phones with different set of features & different price tags. For me it’s not a good go with the above list of cons. I still love Nokia, Sony Erricson & Motorola models.

Chinese have a way with things and even in the field of mobile phones, they have used their ZEN energy. Most of the things that Chinese companies make are cheap but the quality of raw materials used to make this are questionable, I’m talking about the non popular ones that is.

My Friend bought it 1 month back from Brigade road. last week, he dropped the phone and the display was not working.

So, he took it to the shop where he bought and shell out Rs 1500 to change the complete display module.

These Chinese phones are cheaper to buy… but maintanace is very costly…. Battery drains with in a day … Also, if you watch TV, it drains within 30 mins ..

The point to note down here is there are also brands in Chinese products which are very very good.

Only people with failures come forward to comment fast, and keep searching on the net for solution.

Every product has failure rates.

Example is me and my friend. I don’t keep searching on the web for information about chinese products coz I have been successful. But my friend does, because he wants to find a solution to his problems, get a firmware, try to contact others on forums.

Greatest problem is that you get the products from blackmarkets with no warranty.

Recently Indian Importers and Marketers have started branding these products (ex CECT phones) with their own name at a slightly higher price but with 6 months to 1year warranty. try efybonanza.com

I guess where chinese lag is in QA dept.

Chinese technology has always provided efficient technology, I am still thinking to go for this phone, but I guess its a good deal in low price. I have the chinese ZTC N38 mobile with built in TV Tuner and dual sim and using it for the past 6 months without any problem. I too dropped it twice and the display cable (weakest point in this set) got disconnected. with little patience I opened it and reconnected it and now working fine. I bought it for Rs 5300 at coimbatore. For the features it encompass (too many features i have discovered) the price is really cheap and now it is further dropped to Rs.4000 +.

AIRTELLIVE, WAP, DATA ACCOUNT. Under Data Account GSM Data, GPRS is listed. Blue Tooth I have tested but GPRS I have not yet tested.

Yesterday one of my friend bought another version of chinese mobile which cost around Rs.6000 in coimbatore.

This version has got two camera front and back and dual sim (simultaneously active) and finish is really comparable to Nokia N series.

These chinese mobiles are available on http://www.ebay.in you can purchase from there I bought two mobiles from there for 6.5K with 1 GB card along with and inclusive of courier charges, if you go out to search you may find it cheaper but sitting at home at getting a good chinese mobile at this price I feel is OK.

all u guys u spend 12-15 k to buy good phones do u use it for life no no so u can buy chinese in 1/4 of the price

I have a CECT Q909 chinese handset. It boasts of playing mp3, mp4, .avi video, has 2 cameras and 4 speakers, dual sim , touch screen,etc. I bought it for 3k . But the user manual is in chinese . But I want an english manual.plzzz help.

i have a problem. the phone plays mp3 very well. but doesn’t play .avi or mp4 videos which I transfer into the phone through USB . nor does it open any .JPG files . it opens only those files that are recorded by the phone only.
