Are Bloggers unsafe on Orkut?

A Brief Before:

After Blogger released its new version, it uses Google Account user ID & password to login. That means it’s the same you use to login to Gmail & Orkut. Currently hackers hacking login & password information of community owners at Orkut to hack popular communities. They may start doing this to hack your Blogger blog. Orkut even though changed their coding, hackers are more fast to catch changes (all hackers working on Orkut it seams!). Many useful scripts started working on newly coded Orkut (check www.orkutplus.blogspot.com), which gives an indication that hackers might prepare a new script to hack username & password.

Why Bloggers Unsafe on Orkut?

Because new Blogger uses Google Account to login, If somebody hacks your login information at Orkut then you might lose your blog! As a Blogger I know how tough is to build a blog, traffic to that & getting links to that from others. You might have spent lot of time to achieve all this. But a hacker gets all this with one script in one shot. Your one mis-click or running a script may lead to losing your blog. Following are few suggestions from my side to keep your blog safe:

• Use different login for Orkut & Blogger.
• Before running a script or clicking a link check whether they lead to cookie stealing script. Jerry had written a post on this check it at Orkut Plus
• Don’t run any script even given by your closer network of friends. There is a possibility that am hacker hacked your close friend’s profile & inviting you to run a script using his/her profile.
• If you already lost your login information, try using Orkut Help Forum to retrieve that.

If Orkut help doesn’t help you out, I think you are completely lost.
