    Deactivation without intimation
    I got Airtel Prepaid SIM = 89914500050012387771 and Number = 9008788426 I purchased this in Madival in Bangalore. i used this Number 15 to 20 days. while take this Number i submitted the documents. suddenly
    Oneday i received the message that “there is no document submitted and we disconnected ur number”.
    In within 2 hrs airtel disconnected my number

    Then i enquired this with Network & communication, they says “this is not Karnataka Number” what is the region why they are telling like this (AirTel Prepaid Cutomer Service Callcentre guys)”

    actually i am not in station. today i.e 14th October ‘08 i came to Bangalore. i enquired with my cousin( he wento Airtel office their they told that de activated the Number we can’t activate … like that they have give answer)

    I think airtel is playing with my number or what?

    It is a pratice to Aitel to disconnect without prior information and also not conveying reason these days
    If you want to disconnect any number then u should give proper reason and sufficient time to finish the issue

    From the Mobile Number finder I have confirmed that the number is from Karnataka itself.

    About the disconnection, there must be some problem related to documents. Airtel is very strict with such issues. Being a friend of a Airtel Dealer I know what Airtel does for incompliance of its rules.. May be you are 1 among that
    Tell me exactly what proof and documents you submitted and where did you sign them?

    For restoration only the Airtel guy from whom you purchased the SIM can help you out or nearest Airtel Relationship centre.

    Hello,
    I am working in ISRO and have purchased an Airtel prepaid sim card on 4th Nov 2008. I had given my ID proof and residence proof (a certificate from Central Govt office) document to the dealer. Inspite of these documents Airtel deactivated my sim card without informing me. When I contacted their call centre, they have informed me that the documents are not sufficient. Immediately I have given a copy of my election voter card to the dealer and asked him to submit it to Airtel office. Even after a month of submitting the documents, they have not activated my sim card. When I contacted Airtel call centre recently, they have informed that the number does not exist.
    Airtel has become so strict now a days that…….a Central Govt employee can not get their sim card but a terrorist can get their services without any hassles and documents!!!
    Now, I have decided to give up on Airtel for any of their services, products and offers !!!

    my airtel Number = 9611262408,I purchased this in kagadasapuram in Bangalore. i used this Number 2 months. while take this Number i submitted the documents. suddenly
    Oneday i received the message that ?there is no document submitted and we disconnected ur number?.
    In within 2 hrs airtel disconnected my number
    Kindly do the needful.

    @Alex – Sorry to say, the handset cannot be recovered or blocked.
    But the SIM can be blocked and you can get another sim with the same number and all the talktime you had.

    Just register an FIR at local police station, and approach your service provider {In your case its airtel}

    I don’t think its a easy task to get tower contracts
    Still, if you want you can contact the local mobile distributors and get the respective person’s details.

    I have Submitted document for migration of my connection from prepaid to post paid. its already 3 weeks (where they promised me to do in in 3 says) nothing happend.

    Now those buggers not picking the calls n many of their contact numbers are not working. They gave fake numbers in all web sites.

    I am suspecting this company and planning to give police complaint against them

    Hi, Few months back, I subscribed to the Airtel Special 5 number offer. But since with Rs. 77 recharge, I can get the call rate of 50 paise/min. so I want to deactivate that Special 5 offer, as it cost me Re. 1 per day. Please guide me how I should do this.
