Bangalore Traffic Police to use Airtel BlackBerry

Blackberry from Airtel Image

Bangalore Traffic Police started using BlackBerry from Airtel to monitor traffic. This handheld device will be connected to servers with the help of Airtel?s GPRS/EDGE technology. This handheld device will help in finding & penalizing drivers who break traffic rules. Every action taken by a traffic police will be recorded in servers. BlackBerry has been distributed to 280 police officers in Bangalore. It is also helpful to police to find if someone is doing same mistake again & again. Ex: If today I caught for not having driving license & if I do same mistake tomorrow, fine will double. This is revolutionary first of its kind service used by Bangalore Police.

This has to go down in history as one of the dumbest administrative decisions ever. I mean give these bastards a pay raise instead of giving them technology they cannot comprehend. At least then they might do an honest job.
