Block calls from unwanted numbers | Vodafone brings call filter system
Tired up receiving unwanted calls? irritated by calls from your old boy/girl friends? don’t want your boss to call you when you are on nice vacation 
?! Here is a service by Vodafone to block numbers which you don’t want to receive calls. There are two types of filtering system: Black List & White List.
Black List:
Add all the numbers which you don’t want to receive calls to “Black List”. To do so, you need to activate this service by calling 55144 or dialing *514# from your phone. Activation of service takes up to 24 hours according to Vodafone Website. After activation user can create black list by entering 10 digit mobile number & for non-mobile numbers, enter numbers with STD code starting from ZERO.
White List:
Add numbers to white list which you want to receive calls. Others numbers will not be able to call you. This will be helpful while in roaming, where you can receive calls only from people you choose.
Black List & White List both cannot be active at once. This service is charged Rs. 99 / Month which I think expensive for average users.

It will say “Person you have called cannot be reached” or “Person you have called is busy”

I am not sure but I don’t think there is any such software available as this service is network dependent and not handset based

Hi,
Vodofone block calls using *514# is working like a charm. But it isn’t blocking sms’s from the blocked number. I think it is pretty lame if you get a number not existing when you call and “message delivered” when you send an sms.
Is there a way to block sms also? (I know there are softwares that block messages. But what I would ideally want is to ensure “Delivery failed” message to go back.

Hi.. I am calling a vodafone n a tata docomo number since last few days. i got this msg.’ sorry you can’t call this number’ n a msg appeared ‘call being diverted’.. Can anyone tell me wat does this mean? It is not a wrong number as i called this number daily n it was working before.. thanks
