   You can call customer care at 1500 from BSNL landline & ask to change your plan. You can also go to your nearest Customer Relations center & apply for change.

   Go to http://dataone.in/ and click on Dataone account administration link.
   Login with your username and password.
   Then, click on Service records link to view your data usage for any month of your interest.

   BSNL reduced prices lol! They may be reducing more prices in future given their service with outages everyday. In the ad they say BSNL best hai? It is worst hai mere liya. Btw, what service do you use man?

   Their customer support is not good.
   But problems will be there to get a connection.
   Once you get it, you will hardly find problems.
   Again it depends on exchange also.
   I am using BSNL broadband & I don’t have any complaint about service

   I also use BSNL and the service has gone down only a few times in the last 3 months. Only once it went for about 24 hours and once I complained, they fixed it in like 16 hours of complaint (I complained in the evening)

   I think BSNL is certainly better than lot of services .. specially Reliance Wimax. Read a review of it below to know

    BSNL Start up 250 plan has 1GB of free transfer.
    After this free 1GB transfer limit, you will be charged .90 rs/mb. If you are a regular user of internet, browsing some images & streaming videos, I suggest you to go for Unlimited plan for Rs.750. I have seen all who have taken Start up 250 plan never continued with it! Because they got bills in Ks!

    If you take 750 plan, your landline tariff will remain same.
    If you take 750 PLUS, there will be no rent for landline & also there will be no free calls. You will have to pay how much ever you use. But pulse rate for calls in this plan will be 60 seconds, where in normal landline plan it will be 180 seconds.

    your neighbor is mis-leading you, may be plan he is using different or landline carges are included in the same bill. If there is limit for downloading, then there’s no meaning in calling it a unlimited plan. I myself using this plan from a year!!!

    I am press photographer and want to upload images to my clients. After seeing BSNL Broadband advertisements in every media, I thought of booking a landline on 2006. It took two years to get landline without. I waited another 6 months to get broadband connection, no chance. In November 2007, I had to go abroad for more then three and it was waste to pay monthly rental so I requested BSNL to disconnect.

    After my return in March 2008, I met the JTO of our telephone exchange, and asked me to reapply and he provide me BSNL phone with Broadband within two weeks. Till date they have not provided me the BSNL Broadband connection.

    My residence is about a kilometer from Alahalli telephone exchange (Bangalore 560062), and nearest active BSNL phone is about 600 meters. When a wire is laid underground it is less then a meter without proper covering. Hence miscreants steel away the wire.

    BSNL is unable to provide broadband. Now since March 2008? Can anybody help to reach proper person in BSNL who can sole this simple problem, I think BSNL is good for Preeti only?

    It is dependent on lot of factors, no one can tell any timeline straight away.
    It depends on feasibility at your exchange, number of other people in waiting list etc.
    You should ask people at your exchange.

    Since you will be downloading huge data over internet, Home 1000 doesn’t suits you because it has limit of 5GB. I think Home 1350 is better to go.

    i am using 250 bsnl start up plan at my home . i am not surfing anything and not visiting any site. but i do the video chatting 2 hours per day through yahoo mssenger. on sundays it exceeds more than 9 hours. but i got the bill this month 1917 rs. just two month back only i got the connection. first bill was 3426rs.these two months i have not visited any sites or downloaded anything. i dont know uy these heavy bills are coming/ can u give me a solution.how much mb will be loaded for yahoo messenger chatting/ give me a reply soon i am waiting for ur reply .what i have to do?

    Hiii freds,
    You are using 250 bsnl plan which one is limited plan.
    You cannot exceed the limit if you do so you will get charged. For normal chatting its not exceed more than 1-2 MB/month because its a Kb data but if you are doing video chatting its a data with voice & video frames which may exceed more than few GB/month. So there will be the huge amount of bill. Rather i suggest you to take plan of 750 Home. its very beneficial.

    i download loads of things and use internet 24*7

    the only reason i dont want to take plan 750 or 1350 is because i dont want a tortoise speed

    First let me know how do you check your consumed bandwidth. The actual procedure to check which plan you are in, is to log into BSNL portal and login there using you BSNL portal id and pass. And there you have a column ‘My profile’ wherein you can find the present plan you are in
    Let us know whether you could locate it or not..

    You have got it right.
    If you go for unlimited 750 plan, your broadband bill will be stable (750+tax) & phone bill as per usage. You can even opt for two separate bills

    I’m using the UL1350 plan. I was on the Home1000 for 4 years before that. Since I’ve changed over to the UL 1350, I’m unable to download anything bigger than 10 mb. It’s ridiculous, not to mention frequent outages since September.

    for 250 plan the free gb limit is increased to 2 gb
    and
    the piece of advise here is if u go for unlimited plan
    the speed will be dam slow it will take ages to download

    and regarding the customer care there is a toll free no
    ’1800-424-1600′

    It’s around 11 months since the Broadband rate for Home UL came down from 950 to 750. I just hope the rate of UL 750 goes down further, maybe Rs 600 will be just fine.

    I use 2mpbs office 750 plan.Yes some times unexpectedly
    line fails and customer care educates us to how to repair the software data.One thing is that BSNL all go and no show like airtel , airtel more of good speeking instant responsive customer care but your bill will go through the roof and not better than bsnl in terms of quality.In bsnl you can even speak to GM of BSNL in airtel it is not

    Anyone who wants to download movies,songs,videos,games etc take the 750 rs unlimited plan…..Don’t take the 500 rs plan unless you like using the computer only between 2-8 a.m mostly….Never take the 250 rs plan unless you plan to use the net for maximum one hour each day.

     Who ever wants a new connection and looking for good speed, then go for Home 500 plan.,if you are looking for unlimited and good speed then go for BSNL EVDO card., it costs just rs 560/month but u need to purchase the usb modem. If u just want for browsing then go for unlimited 750 plan., but the speed is very low, u get 30 to 35 kbps, where as in Home 500 plan speed is good i’m getting 150 kbps.

     How to check broadband uasge? Simple. Log on with your user id and pwd on to BSNL’s portal at http://10.240.64.195/webLogin.jsp. Even simpler – Send an SMS. Yes, BSNL has now introduced a new feature where in you can now know your broadband usage via SMS.

     How to Register for this New Feature?
     Just SMS “REG Landline Number” prefixed with your STD code (For Example REG 080 23456789) to the following numbers:
     52295: For Bsnl Mobile Customers.
     9448077777: For Any Other Mobile Customers other than BSNL.
     After Registering your landline number, you will receive a Thank you message and from then onwards, you can check the broadband usage of your account anytime by just sending an SMS.

     How to Check the Broadband Usage of My Account?
     Just SMS “BBU Landline Number” prefixed with the STD Code (Example: BBU 080 23456789) to the following numbers:
     52295: For Bsnl Mobile Customers.

     Iam using BSNL broadband 750ul paln and soon will be migrating to 750+ plan. But the problem is that im not getting enough speed for downloading. The speed they r proving is only 25 KBPS and it is taking almost 5 to 10 min for downloading a song and that to is mp3 not video.
     I contacted the concerned dept. and the answer i received from their side is that for this plan we provide this much speed only. Is it really true plz provide me with the solution and tell me how i can increase the speed, because I have tried everything I could have like tried download accelator and many more things but it didnt helped

     In reality in 250 Home plan if data exceeds more than 1gb than u have to pay ur bill according to 0.90 Paise for per MB. Mean if u r using net for 24 hour what ever site u open it is counted in downloading and so u have to pay more than 250 Rs. this plan will suck ur blood. So u go for 750 unlimited. Charge would b 750 + service tax @ 10.3 % total it will be 828 monthly. it would b fixed charge but tension less of data usage.      Hey tanya I too use the same UL 750 plan. I get the download speed between 28-31 kbps. The speed what they actually prescribe is 256/8=32kbps So I'm getting 31 which is ok. You should also be getting this speed or else complain to your nearest exchange or go in person directly.

     Average time taken to download 100mb is 1 hr. It includes all upload hosts like Rapidshare, hotfile, megaupload etc even at peak hrs 1hr for 100mb is average. If the movie is 700mb then it takes 6-7hrs. Waste of time having BSNL dataone.
