Tata Docomo GPRS Settings

GPRS settings for Tata Docomo is as follows:

Connection Name : Docomo {or name it anything!}
Data Bearer : GPRS
Access Point Name : TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET
Username :
Password :
Homepage :
Connection Security : Off
Session Mode : Permanent

GPRS is active on Docomo by default, so you just need to add this settings to start using it. On Nokia phones these settings can be added by going to “Settings–>Configurations–>New Access point”. Some phones have this setting in browser settings also. Just look for something which says “Add new access point” & add the above settings. Right now they are charging 1p/kb which is bit expensive. As people from Docomo commented on previous post of Tech Bangalore, they will launching unlimited GPRS plans very soon. So, keep checking this space for updates on it.

for getting tata docomo gprs settings

send SMS “MMS” TO 121 FOR MMS SETTINGS (WITHOUT QUOTE) AND “DIVE” TO 121 FIR GETTING GPRS SETTINGS. THIS IS SURELY WORKING

GPRS Setting

Go To > internet services
1 Data a/c
2 select gprs
3 add new a/c
4 a/c name : TATA DOCOMO INTERNET
5 APN : TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET
6 User Name : Blank
7 Password : Blank
8 Auth : Normal

Now go back to internet servers menu:
1 select wap
2 select settings
3 edit profile
4 profile name : TATA DOCOMO INTERNET
5 Homepage: http://www.google.com
6 Data A/c: TATA DOCOMO INTERNET
7 connection type: http
8 user name: blank
9 password : blank
10 save

I tried the above settings, it works fine for accessing internet on my mobile- W660i Sony Ericsson, but aim unable to connect toinetrnet via PC suite or with Dial up connection.I use Vista , Earlier Airtel Mobile office worked fine.
Dial up number: *99# ,
Username: blank,
Password bank : blank

Customer service was of no help – only reply i get is s/w off and s/w on your mobile

Hi Milin,

No IP Address is Needed in TATA DOCOMO. It'll Be Auto Configured when you Connect to internet.

thank u vey much . was confused . the guy in tata doc were tellling something to type dive or internet to get setting but my mobile rejected auto settng confg . so this data helpd me out to confg myself its now on and workng. thank u again

start the settings

menu>services>data account > select empty account > account name TATA DOCOMO INTERNET >APN TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET > USERNAME & PASSWORD Will be blank >> homepage http://www.google.com>.....entication normal >> and then select the sim over which is saved and actiavte the profile created

hey… everybody….. try this… if u want tata docomo on pc..!! i had also faced the same prob. wid docomo but now i can use them……… so… dont try pc suite… just go control panel>connect to internet>new connection>select ur modem
username: leave it blank
password:blank
if there is any column named isp name then, fill it with:tata.docomo.internet and then… let it connect… but it will show you a message saying that ppp link control was terminated.. but dont worry… click on SET UP THE CONNECTION ANYWAY.
Then go t o phone and modem in control panel
click on modem tab. then highlight ur modem click properties>diagnostics>query modem….
it will take some time as it will communicate with ur modem… then,click on advanced tab and write these extra initialization command:AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET”
but then also it wont work then go to control panel>internet options>connection>settings. then check in the box of (use a proxy server for this connection)and also check in the box down it saying bypass proxy server for local addresses,and leave that address column blank and put the port :8080but make sure that the connection u made recently should be ur default connection. then click ok and restart ur computer connect to the world of internet using ur mobile.
