Wikipedia featured Karnataka on it’s main page on occasion of Kannada Rajyothsava

Today (Nov 1st) wikipedia featured Karnataka on it’s home page! This is on occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava. Check screen shot:

Almost every article entry related to history of Karnataka got featured as “Featured Article” in Wikipedia. Wkipedia team gets wondered if there is no article about Karnataka in three days.

This is a great tribute to Karnataka, as wikipedia has millions of visits every day & one of the most popular website. Today millions of people worldwide will get to know about our state’s history, culture, language, Arts. Thanks to all those wikipedia editors from Karnataka for creating such a great content about Karnataka.

Nice thing to know that atleast some are working to put the kannada articles on the web.I recently tried to create an article: “Karnataka History Timeline” on Wikipedia.It is still on the Talk phase.Anybody interested in it may try to improve it and either submit it or try to create it.It is available at:
