Activating GPRS on Spice (Free & Paid)

There are two packages in Spice for GPRS Connection:

1) Free GPRS: With this plan you can access only Spice wap site & can download Polyphonic ring tones, Wall Papers etc (Chargeable). To activate dial *789#.

2) Rs.99 Plan: With this plan you can access any wap sites around the globe. There are many wap sites which are providing free downloads & hence you need to pay only Rs.99 & download as much as you want from free download websites. But you have to if you download from Spice website. In this plan you can also access Gmail! To activate dial *789#.

hi prashanth im srujan from bangalore i have a spice prepaid connection.gprs is activated (simply enjoy plan only wap sites).i have a re z550i phone. can u give me the mms setting to sent mms through gprs(costs 3 rs).on the site only settings for mms through gsm are given

If you have enabled wap on your set follow these instructions to activate MMS
For Nokia Handsets: Send SMS as ‘NOK MMS’ to 321. You will receive WAP settings on your screen. Save these settings on your handset.

For Sony Ericsson Handsets: Send SMS as ‘ER MMS’ to 321. You will receive WAP settings on your screen. Save these settings on your handset.

2. Once your handset is enabled for MMS, you will get that automatically activated MMS service on your Spice mobile within 24 hours.

Hi Uday,
In Spice they provided info only about activating service, but not to de-activate. But anyway you can call to 9844498444 for any query with Background Music Service. You can also check following link http://spicetele.com/karnataka/vas_bgm.php

Hi,
You have to call Spice customer care.
There is no other option present currently.
I request all, If anyone is using Spice GPRS, Please share manual settings over here.

Hey Guys..
there is a useful piece of informatin for people who use spice for gprs….
spice tells that in simply enjoy plan u can access only wap sites and access to www. sites is restricted..
but u can access the other sites also i have tried and got good results.

Hi Friends,
I am using Spice “simply enjoy” pack, monthly 49Rs, any wap site u can browse, also some http sites thru the search engine wap.google.com.

For settings,

access point – simplyenjoy
username and password – your mobile no
proxy – 10.200.200.3
proxy port – 8080
