Airtel Online GPRS in Airtel

In previous post I described about Free GPRS in Airtel. Now let see how to activate paid GPRS
called as “Airtel Online”. As i described in previous post free GPRS allows you to browse only limited sites. In this account you can browse any web pages in world.Although you can browse all web pages, only WAP* web pages are compatible on all GPRS enabled phone. Other web pages loads very slowly & displayed incorrectly on your mobile since they are high on size. If you are huge downloader of GPRS content like wallpapers, ringtones…etc, Then this paid account is better.You can search for free content using google search on your mobile.Since there are many wap sites which provides free mobile stuff.This service is charged 99/month.
Activation:
1) Send SMS as AO ACTV to 222. Other procedures follows same as Free GPRS.
2) To cancel this service SMS AO CNCL to 222.

There is no activation charges for this service.

*WAP means web pages made only for mobile devices.Normally it will be wml format.

Nyways thanks a lot for the people who has created the site and also to others who keep the site active with comments.

Calling up airtel customer care is of no use as those people only say that the AO-airtel online cannot be active on HTC touch and other windows as they do not support as per them but that is no longer true. They just want us to go for a package which is costlier than this.

I don't think there would be anything to boost GPRS speed in mobile. for computer you may try some speed boosters. :)

i have nokika 3110 classic .and using reliance .speed of access and downloding in computer also i mobile not so good nearabout 2kbps have u any idea to increase the speed without changing reliance,handset

Guess there's some compability issues in china mobiles with Indian operators.. Never tried out of my own. But I would recommend you to copy GPRS settings from some other phones and using it on your China phone. Try it out and let us know as well about it.

What is the main problem is that we are using a smart phone in which you go to ACCESORRIES->NETWORK SETTING-> SELECT COUNTRY& SERVICE PROVIDER. Restart your mobile. The connection setting are configured.....

You have no need to call customer care for airtel gprs setting. But the main problem is that like NOKIA's models smartphones doesnot support to configure ur phone by external means(sms or by service provider). Now that is the main problem. Because our phone is fetching configuration from network(god knows wheather it is correct or not!!!!!) & we have no opt to check with proper configuration.

So i think tjink only one can get get rid us grom that hell do you wana know his name??????

Hay Good News For Motorola Users. You Can Acess AirTel GPRS Free Of Cost On Your Motorola Phone. This Trick Does Not Works For NoKia Or Sony. just do the following changes. HOME:wap.google.com IP: 10.2.45.155 APN: airtelmms.com PORT:9201 Also Motorola W230 has a phop serial modem. but it can't b used to access internet on compter.

i activated airtel online but i did not received settings , i called custumer care more than 15 times, they told we cannot send settings but u can do it mannually. it was also not possible, one day i called custumer care and contacted the technesion they told to do settings manually in detail, again failure. i am using w2ooi phone. if u get any solution please contact 9731502160

i use a Nokia E61i with Airtel online. I am able to connect to my office mail using web access, but not through the IMAP access. I am able to access IMAP using my home WiFi Modem.

Is it a limitation of Airtel Online ?. Is there a way to access imap accounts through Airtel online ?

could you please explain what exactly happens when you click on a download link. You can also try a download manager to boost your downloading speed & also can resume downloads which were discontinued due to disconnection. You can use free download manager [http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/]

Airtel Online cannot be less than 99 rs & you cannot access internet on PC through Airtel Online. You need to have Airtel "Mobile Office" to do so.
